We are a modern solicitors firm situated in Park Square, Leeds. We are a leading practice specialising in motoring offences and related private client matters. We deal with cases in Leeds, Yorkshire and nationally.

The firm was founded by Andrew Thompson who is a Solicitor Advocate with rights of audience in all courts. Andrew trained as a barrister before qualifying as a solicitor. He worked at a highly regarded Leeds firm before moving to York as head of department. Andrew has appeared on BBC news programmes on several occasions, is consulted by Channel 4 programme makers and gives CPD lectures to other solicitors.

We understand that our clients not only demand the best legal advice but also require it to be given promptly in a user-friendly format. We use the very latest technology and prefer to communicate by email wherever possible. We would never charge for writing a three page letter if a short email will do.

Motoring offences

We have experience of defending all forms of motoring offences. This ranges from speeding offences to causing death by dangerous driving. We will do everything possible to protect your driving licence, avoid disqualification and penalty points. If you have received a notice of intended prosecution then you should contact us immediately for assistance. We deal with a variety of cases daily from speeding and careless driving to exceptional hardship submissions. We also provide representation at inquests into fatal road traffic accidents.

The law concerning motoring offences can be complex and often requires assistance from expert witnesses. The firm has strong links to a panel of independently vetted experts who are highly skilled in road signage regulations, laser technology and accident reconstruction. We will assist you to build a robust defence or prepare the best possible mitigation if all reasonable avenues of defence have been exhausted.

Costs

Legal aid is not usually available for minor motoring offences. However, please give us a call as we never charge for an initial chat. We have much lower overheads than larger firms and are therefore able to offer excellent value for money and will provide you with a written quotation at the outset of your case. Many of our cases are dealt with on an agreed fixed fee basis. Longer cases can be billed on a monthly basis. We aim to recover your costs wherever possible.
